You hear these Pacific Koels a LOT more than you see them, but this pair were courting in our backyard Cheesetree (Glochidion ferdinandi) where the male, replendent with his bright red eye, offered the female a fruit from the tree… but the haughty female refused it. The beautiful plumage of the female was particularly notable.
